Support critical heart surgery of 2.5 Year old Little Hamza
Dil Se Mehek is raising funds for the urgent and critical surgery of baby Hamza. The baby boy born with a Transposition of the great arteries is a serious but rare heart defect present at birth (congenital), in which the two main arteries leaving the heart are reversed (transposed). The condition is also called dextro-transposition of the great arteries. A rarer type of this condition is called levo-transposition of the great arteries.
Transposition of the great arteries changes the way blood circulates through the body, leaving a shortage of oxygen in blood flowing from the heart to the rest of the body. Without an adequate supply of oxygen-rich blood, the body can't function properly and as per doctors an urgent corrective surgery is require and without it hamza can faces serious complications or even death.
His father works as a Taxi Driver and earns Rs. 7,000 a month for his household. The family came to know about the illness of their baby when the child was only 2 months old. The child was taken to Cha-cha Nehru, Hospital where the disease was diagnosed, but in the availability of proper cardiac department the child was referred to AIIMS Hospital. The parents were shattered to know that their only child is struggling for his life and slowly slipping
Inspite of long waiting list of surgrey patients, AIIMS gave 4 consecutive surgery dates to little HAMZA. As AIIMS perfroms surgery on subsedized cost and asked to deposit Rs. 80,000 for the surgery. Poor Bilal worked day and night but couldn't arranged the treatment cost. He brought oxygen cylinder so that he can comfort Hamza whenever he faced breathing issue.
I sold whatever I do have but still I am unable to arrange the treatment cost. There are regular fights in between me and the wife. Once day I got so frustrated that I decided to end my life, but Hamza's face stopped me to take that drastic step.. Please help me.. It's very difficult for me to see my small son in pain. He is turning blue day by day and only a corrective surgery can save his life.
