Dil Se Mehek is raising funds for a 3.5 Year old child called Abubakar who born with deadly heart defect condition called Tetralogy Of Fallot (TOF). Usually children who born with such defects needs early surgery preferably in the first year of the child. Abubakar lives in village and in the unavailability of proper diagnosis he lacked behind from the treatment. This is the reason behind his serious condition. Somehow Abubakar’s father reached Delhi and consulted doctors at AIIMS hospital after seeing the critical condition of Abubakar doctors gave surgery date in July last year (2019) but unfortunately his father was not able to arrange the money. He breath faster than normal and unable to play with his friends due to excessive weakness.

                      

ABOUT THE DISEASE

He was born with a deadly HEART DEFECT. A rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth. Tetralogy of Fallot defects cause oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and into the rest of the body. It happens when a baby’s heart does not form correctly as the baby grows and develops in the mother’s womb during pregnancy.

SYMPTOMS

Following are the symptoms suffered by Abubakar due to the heart defect  Poor eating, which leads to poor growth  Sweating with crying or eating  Persistent fast breathing or breathlessness  Easy tiring  Rapid heart rate  Tires easily when eating or playing  Poor weight gain  Becomes breathless when eating or crying  Always breathes rapidly or is short of breath  Blue tinged skin Abubakar’s Father (Sajid) works as a labour. He works on the contractual basis thus his salary is extremely low as compare to others. Due to his ill financial condition he needs to extend the date of surgery of his ill son despite of the fact that on each passing day his son is struggling to his breath.

GETTING TREATMENT AT

Abubakar is getting treatment at All India Medical Institute(AIIMS), New Delhi. It is a government Hospital but there is a cost involved in the Heart hole closure surgery called TOF Repair. The child needs 60K for the treatment. As per doctor medicines cannot fill the hole present in his heart thus early surgery is required.
