“I am sorry to break it to you but your son Anvith is suffering from Acute B-lymphoblastic Leukaemia. It is a type of blood cancer.
Thankfully, your son seems to be coping well and this can be cured. But we will need to begin with his treatment as soon as possible.” The doctor said as he showed us the reports.
This isn’t something I prepared for. No one teaches you how to react in a scenario like this. Here I am with a dying son in my arms and no one by my side to help me.
‘Oh God, what have I done to be punished with such a fate?’
Looking at the test results, I felt the pain and grief he had been going through. I couldn’t think of anything except the possibility of losing my son.
Images of him watching his favourite cartoon, him playing with his friends and all the
sweet moments started to appear in front of my eyes.
Those sweet memories of him smiling and jumping around full of life are my favourite.
But again, thinking about his deadly cancer, blood transfusions and all the other painful procedures causes shivers to run down my spine. And all I can do is hope that he will be okay. At last, he is just 4 years old.
“paa, do people always die if they have cancer? The doctors say I will be okay soon but it hurts to even breathe. Am I dying papa?” Tears began to stream down my face as soon as my baby questioned me.
Anil Kumar ( Ritik's Father) hailed from a far flung village of Bihar, where he worked as a daily wage laborer. When Ritik was diagnosed with blood cancer, Anil's world shattered. With limited financial resources and no connections in the sprawling city of Delhi, Anil embarked on a journey of hope and sacrifice. Driven by a father's love, Anil brought Ritik to AIIMS, renowned for its expertise in medical care. However, the exorbitant cost of treatment and the lack of affordable accommodation left Anil with no choice but to sleep on the unforgiving pavement outside the hospital, with nothing but a thin blanket and the stars above as witnesses to his plight. Each night, as Anil lay under the open sky, he held onto a flicker of hope—the hope that Ritik would receive the life-saving treatment he needed to beat cancer and live a full life. Despite the hardships, Anil's resolve remained unbroken.
The child needs in total 1.5 lacs for injections, medicines and diagnostic tests. Please do come forward and support the child. We asked our relatives for help and tried reaching out to our friends. Nothing seemed to work. We have nothing with which we can help our son. At this hour of need, when he is battling between life and death, I am feeling extremely helpless.
We urge you to help me. Losing one’s child, one’s blood is just devastating. Please help us.
You are our last hope. We beg of you to help save our baby boy- ( Anil Kumar)
Lets build the hope of Anil by joining hand for providing live saving treatment of blood cancer to Ritik. Do come foraward and support to Ritik. You can speak to father ( Anil) @ 8797615422
