Help 8 year Ashraf from a fatal heart defect
It was the happiest day of our lives when we found out I was pregnant.
After three years of trying, my husband and I had finally been blessed with a second child. We considered his birth a gift from the gods and decided to give him the best of all life has to offer.
“Ashraf was a cheerful little boy who used to fill our house with laughter and the sound of his giggles.”
Now, I yearn to hear that laugh once again. This is my baby boy's tale.
Ashraf- 8 Year old boy was diagnosed with congenital heart disease (PDA) last year in 2023 when he suddenly faint while playing with his friends.
Playful and active from the moment he was born, his eyes could easily distract you from the constant pain he was enduring. It was both shocking and traumatic to learn about his heart condition.
“ Ashraf's heart is on the verge of seizing up and I have no way of saving him,” are the thoughts that keep pestering my mind every single night- ( Ashraf Father Said).
We didn't fully grasp his predicament, but we all understood that his life was at serious risk of being taken away.
“The only way your son Ashraf can be saved is with heart surgery" The doctors informed the family at the time of his diagnosis.
The costs for the surgery and the medical procedures have been estimated at INR 46,000 only and after seeing the seriousness of Ashraf's case doctors gave us the surgery date in Feburary (7/2/24) but as Ashraf's father works as a labourer and coudn't arrange the sufficient amount for surgery in Feburary.
To us, an amount that large is simply impossible to raise by ourselves.
My son needs help to survive. He’s scared of the hospital environment and I’m afraid his mind may not be able to cope with the huge stress any longer - Said by Ashraf's Father.
