Who better to understand the price of a breath than altamas, a 5 yr old boy with an artificial breathing pipe. With 4 other children at home,in rural Uttar Pradesh, his simple mother, a homemaker, has to bare witness to her child suffering everyday . Struck with the pandemic, his father sells plastic utilities. The family has struggled to raise 20k rs since fast 4 yrs for a change of his breathing pipe . A mother's life is plagued with seeing her child everyday gasping for air, having fits, restless nights of sleep. She must everyday wake up to clean his pipe thrice, if not to get bouts of mucus stuck in it . Due to this condition he needs to be in an extremely sanitized environment, hence is stuck at home.
You can only imagine the fear of covid with such respiratory issues would have put them through. He is unable to do any daily activities as children of his age do and is constantly denied opportunities due to his conditions. He has shortness of breath which makes the entire process of breathing related issues much more difficult. He has been suffering through this since 2019. Should a child really endure such a life ? Is he only a victim of this as he comes from the society of low hanging fruit . Just the very thought of it happening to our dear ones can leave us with sleepless nights. Why should a child count his days .Or until he shouldn't, until we make a small contribution to dil se mehek who has taken him under their wing . Let generosity bloom among us as we co tribute just a tiniest bit of what we have to offer . Our small grant can open a world of possibilities that we live in .A world where we all should live lives without the fear of the last day .
Dil se mehek has taken the initiative to raise 20 k for the replacement of his breathing pipe . Donate with an open heart and a free mind , and spread hope in the heart of a mother , and an innocent smile restored in a child .
