Until a few months ago, our 2-year-old son, Harish was the light and life of our house. There was never a dull moment with him. He’d keep hopping around the entire house, talking, laughing and throwing tantrums.
But one day, it all stopped. Right after his birthday, he suddenly fell sick. His stomach started swelling and he got a fever. It wasn’t normal. His entire body was burning. We panicked and rushed him to the nearby clinic.
When we took him to the doctor, he suggested a few tests. Little did we know that the results will change our lives forever- for the worse. After a couple of sleepless nights and countless prayers to God, we were told that our little son is suffering from a rapidly growing tumor in his right kidney, doctors had no choice but to remove the kidney entirely. His parents watched helplessly as their little boy underwent surgery, hoping that it would be the end of his battle with cancer. The pain was excruciating, but there was a glimmer of hope—Harshit started to recover.
But just when they thought their ordeal was over, tragedy struck again. Harshit’s family received the heart-wrenching news that a tumor had developed in his left kidney, now in its third stage. The weight of this new diagnosis hit hard, and Harshit’s parents felt their world crumble once more.
Despite the overwhelming news, the doctors offered a silver lining—Harshit could still lead a healthy life if he underwent chemotherapy or radiation therapy. There is hope for him yet, and with the right treatment, Harshit can overcome this setback and emerge stronger than ever.
