“Congratulations! It's a beautiful baby boy, he is all sound and healthy!' Every word felt like music to my ears.
Now when I see my baby suffering and sobbing in pain, that time seems like forever ago,” sighed Vijay Shankar.
Vijay’s only son - Eva, was diagnosed with a heart problem soon after birth.
“As far as the reports are concerned, I’m sure it is not going to be that big of an issue. Your son will overcome this health situation with proper medicines and care in the coming years,” confirmed the doctor.
Eva was doing fine until he suddenly started facing some issues, and However, fate had planned something even worse…
“When my son was 4 months old, he started having breathing problems. We tried all we could until he started suffering from an unrelenting fever. Left with no other option, we took him to the local hospital,” spoke
The doctors diagnosed Eva with a heart problem.
“We kept travelling from one hospital to the other, hoping for some miracle to happen. But what the doctors said crushed our last ray of hope,” explained Vijay.
“Your son’s condition is dire, and we are afraid he doesn't have much time. He needs urgent surgery worth INR 2,50,000/-. If the surgery is not performed soon, things might take a turn for the worse,” said the doctors.
The news shattered everyone in the family.
“For the last two years, we have spent all our hard-earned money to save our child. When that didn’t suffice, we took several high-interest loans. We don't want Eva to suffer because of our financial struggles.”
Eva's father works in a private company husband and he’s struggling hard to make ends meet. We don’t have anyone to rely on.” sobbed Vijay.
Eva is their firstborn, and only child. They’re ready to do whatever it takes to save him, but they do need your support.
