About This Cause

Just 20 days after entering this world, a tiny baby girl is fighting the biggest battle of her life.

Baby of Nisha, born prematurely at just 36 weeks, her arrival was filled with complications. During birth, she suffered birth asphyxia, a condition in which the brain does not receive enough oxygen. Doctors diagnosed her with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE Grade II), a serious brain injury that requires immediate intensive medical care.

Since birth, she has remained in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), dependent on a ventilator to breathe. Along with this critical condition, she is also battling severe jaundice and a dangerously low platelet count. Every passing day brings new medical challenges, and she continues to receive ventilator support, intravenous antibiotics, specialized medicines, frequent investigations, and constant monitoring by doctors.

Her father is a humble tailor from Uttam Nagar, Delhi. He works tirelessly, stitching clothes to provide for his family, but his modest income is nowhere near enough to cover the overwhelming cost of his daughter's treatment. The family desperately searched for a ventilator bed in government hospitals, hoping to receive affordable care. Sadly, none were available. With no other option and every minute counting, they admitted their newborn daughter to a private hospital.

The financial burden is crushing. The ventilator alone costs ₹5,000 per day, apart from ICU charges, medicines, laboratory tests, and other life-saving treatments. Within days, the family's savings were completely exhausted. Today, they stand helpless, struggling to arrange the funds needed to continue their daughter's treatment.

For this father, every stitch he sews is accompanied by the hope that his little girl will survive. But hope alone cannot pay for the medical care she urgently needs.
