Nine-year-old Dhirendra has spent almost his entire life fighting a battle no child should ever have to face. Born in 2017, he was only six months old when his parents noticed frequent bleeding from his nose. After several medical tests, they received the devastating news—Dhirendra had blood cancer.

Since then, Dhirendra has been undergoing continuous treatment at AIIMS, New Delhi. What should have been a childhood filled with laughter, school, and play has instead become a journey of hospitals, medicines, and painful treatments.

His parents came to Delhi from a small village in Madhya Pradesh with only one hope—to save their son's life. They left behind their home, work, and everything they owned. Today, with no relatives in the city and no stable source of income, the family lives on the roadside near the hospital so they can remain close to Dhirendra during his treatment.

Every day is a fight against both cancer and extreme poverty. They struggle to arrange food, shelter, medicines, and other daily necessities while staying focused on Dhirendra's treatment.

Yet, despite all the pain he has endured, Dhirendra continues to smile. He dreams of going to school, playing with his friends, and living the happy, healthy childhood every child deserves.
