About This Cause

Three-year-old Reyansh should be sleeping safely in his home, waking up to toys, laughter, and the warmth of his parents’ arms. But today, his reality is very different. As night falls in Delhi, Reyansh lies beside his parents on a roadside, under the open sky—unaware that this struggle is the price his family is paying to save his eyesight.

Reyansh is suffering from congenital glaucoma, a serious eye condition present since birth. Due to this, the pressure inside his eyes keeps rising, slowly and silently damaging his vision. His parents first noticed constant watering in his eyes and his difficulty in focusing on things. They hoped it was something minor—but the truth turned their world upside down.

At AIIMS, Delhi, doctors confirmed that his condition is critical. Without timely treatment and possible surgery, Reyansh could lose his eyesight permanently. For a child who has barely begun to see the world, the thought of darkness forever is heartbreaking.

With no options left, his parents travelled all the way from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, to Delhi. They came with hope—but not with resources. With no place to stay and no money for rent, they are now forced to live on the roadside, just so they can continue his treatment without missing hospital visits.
